Zaina Kombo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a passion for human rights and the role of law in development. She has over 6 years experience in working with communities and she holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Master of Law Governance & Democracy degree, both from the University of Nairobi (UoN)and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law (KSL). She has also gained different skills in Results Based Programme Management (SIDA), Inclusion, Non-discrimination & Internal Democracy in Organisations (LSU) and Public Expenditure Management (IPF-K).
Currently, Zaina Kombo works for HAKI Africa as the Head of its Nairobi Office where she is also the Coordinator of the Africa Security Sector Network convened by HAKI Africa and is meant to hold African security sector accountable for the actions as well as protect and promote human rights and rule of law. Through her work she also supports the communities with legal assistance. Being a youth she also supports youth mentorship.
